HI-Iberia at the EDF INFO Days 2024: Innovation in Artificial Intelligence for Defense
On May 28-29, 2024, HI-Iberia was honored to participate in the EDF Information Days organized by the European Commission in Brussels. This high-level event brought together key players from the European defense industry, providing a unique forum to explore funding opportunities under the European Defence Fund (EDF) 2024 and to establish strategic collaborations.
Advanced Projects Presentation
On this occasion, our artificial intelligence engineer, Sergio Zaera Mata, presented a number of innovative proposals we are working on, with a special focus on ATARI – Federated AI for Internet of Ships. This project, inspired by GREEN technology, proposes a federated learning system to improve communication and management of maritime fleets. ATARI combines Federated AI with Blockchain to optimize data exchange securely between multiple stakeholders, addressing key challenges in the maritime domain.
A Scenario of Opportunities
The event not only allowed to learn in depth about the EDF 2024 calls for proposals, but also to participate in matchmaking and pitching sessions, where HI-Iberia was able to connect with other industry leaders, universities and research organizations. These interactions open the door to new collaborations that promise to drive the development of advanced technological solutions for defense.
