GREEN: Artificial Intelligence (AI) and IoT Data Exploitation
The main objective of the GREEN project is the industrial development of an AI platform to implement projects aimed at exploiting IoT data through the combination of technologies such as Federated Learning, Blockchain and Smart Contracts.
Motivation
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies are emerging as the main tools for change that will transform today’s cities into the Smart Cities of the future. However, the application of these technologies is not simple and requires solving a series of technical and collaborative difficulties.
Technology
Federated Learning, a new Machine Learning paradigm, combined with Blockchain and Smart Contracts technologies, would make it possible to solve these problems and generate new collaborative environments that result in global benefit.
Use Case
As a final example of application of the GREEN platform, we propose a use case focused on optimizing the operation of charging stations for electric vehicles (EV). This will not only make this means of transport more accessible, but will also help in the necessary task of turning cities into emission-free environments.
